Dons Bolt is becoming quite the bracket racer

Must give credit were credit is due.

2 FFWs in a row Don has placed for a trophy. (2 thirds). Also he has driven to both events (very far I might add) and his dial ins have been mid to low 11s.

In this day and age when you see more trailers the size of motorhomes it is refreshing to see a guy do it OLD SCHOOL

Quality work Don.

I sure hope so, but if your wishing me luck I will prob red light in the first round on my next FFW. LOL

Thanks to the rest of you for the support, it means a lot to me.

I also have to give Jim, Shaun, Ritchy and the whole crew at JDM a lot of the credit for my sucess. First off for the awesome motor they built for me, and a very consistant race chip in my truck. Second and prob most important Jim has taught me how to first prep my truck for a event. Secondly how to do a burnout, stage and then launch the truck.

I had never run a 1/4 mile pass before april of 2001, so without his and many other Lightning owners advice and training I wouldn't be where I am today. I know I still have a ton to learn, and I did get a little lucky a few runs these past two events.

It is nice to be part of the Lightning familly where even your competitor will give you honest advice, even if it cost them a win at the track.

Well I have one of those adictive personalities. All it took was one run down the track and I was hooked. The next day I had a helmet, and as they say the rest is history.

Don ,

You said you wanted to be different and beleave me you are.

You came to me in the beginning of the season and said you wanted a low mid 11 second truck for daily driving to drive to the race track and just bolt your slicks on and a 10 second truck with just a pulley change.

Who says you can't get what you want if you work hard enough for it !

Your 11.1 pass in Norwalk fully dressed truck spare tire in the factory location, sway bar still in, and a half a tank of gas put your truck as the worlds fastest fully dressed truck and you are useing a 3.2 upper pulley.

Now that is different.

Sence you can't make it to the Mod Motor Shootout I will see you in Epping sence it is your home town I think it will be a good place to put you in the 10's with just a pulley and chip change.

Congrates on your two semi finals

I got 18mpg driving through the hills of Pensilvania, I didn't believe my own math, so I went into the gas station and used their calculator to double check my math.

As far as my 10 second run, I am sure it will come, prob when I least expect it. As for FFW in Epping I am not concerned if I get a 10 second run there or not. I want to win that event get maximum points and get into MM&FF. So a nice consistant low 11 second truck, like I had in Richmond and Norwalk will be just fine.
