The Best Color For Painted Calipers

My truck is red and I'm about to paint the calipers. I was searching through some past threads for ideas and all I saw was a lot of red calipers. Initially I wanted to paint them red but it just seems like it wouldn't stand out as much, anyone have any ideas as to a good color to paint the calipers on a red truck?

Nissan/Infinti paints the Brembo brakes on their new 350Z/G35 coupe in gold. I've seen several in person and they look pretty cool!

Just my 2 cents...

That's about it. Silver, red, or black (and occasionally yellow) are about the only OEM colors you see on brakes (homebrew ricer jobs aside). Black won't "stand out." Yellow seems like it would not look right with a red truck and would be a b*tch to keep clean.

I would go with red.

I agree. Red would be the best for a red truck. Silver would be my second choice. Definitely post pics when you're done.

Red is classic. Can't go wrong with it.

awwww, no purple? I think I will go with red after all since its true that you really can't go wrong with that color. I guess I just needed to hear it from others as well, thanks all!

I stand corrected. As someone mentioned above, the 350Z has gold-colored Brembos. I saw the "if fast was a color" 350Z ad today. The gold calipers looked fantastic!

For something in red, but a little different, I used DupliColor Metalcast paint that looks like red anodized. Very easy to apply (make sure you use the "groundcoat"), and seems to hold up just fine.
