long tubes vs. shorties

long tubes vs. shorties

im gettin the bassani cat back fo sho and want to get long tubes and some high flow cats but i can only find complete setups with shorties

is there any advantage with the long tubes are will the shorties be cool

wich are ez'r to install wich has the least clearence issues?

REM has an excellent setup, install is also pretty easy, without clearance issues.

Shorties are claimed to have very little affect on our L's.

ive got my eyes set on the bassani catback. i was think about getting REM cat foward setup and the cat back somewhere else but i wanted to see if ne one sold a kit to save a couple bucks

You may save a few bucks on shorties but you will pay twice as much to install them...REMs longtubes go right in without removing the steering shaft or jacking up the motor or taking out the drivers side motor mount.....I would not wish the job of installing shorties on a L to anyone.......

ill install them myself so i guess im gona get the REM cat Foward

Cool

Absolutely no gain in ET or MPH with shorties. As stated above they are a pain in the a$$ to install and remove for that part.

Go with longtubes on the headers.
