Yep - those are nice batteries.
How does the billet battery tray mount?
Do you have to remove the stock tray?

Yep, remov top tray, but you cant disguard the vacume canisters behind the tray, they control a/c at wot, just unsnap canisters..put big canister against fender between bat and ecm and tuck the little can down by ecm harness....truck seems to run a little better tooo...could this be because of more amps getting to ignition system....

here's what the black "boxes" behind the battery do..

Looks great guys. The black on the black truck looks good.

Clontek, I love the blue on the Silver L. I have a silver one also so................... looks like a blue hold down for me soon.

Did you need to mod the original tray any? or does it just bolt into the stock location?

Thanks

How much does an Optima weigh compared to the stock battery? Is it noticeably lighter?

Even though it is smaller, the yellow top is heavier than the stock battery.

Clonetek

Do you have a link to that blue cover for the Optima battery.
I take it its a Marine piece but would be very nice for show.
I actaully was going to make one of billet aluminum, but it may save me time if you have a price and distributer.
thanks
John
