Same tool. Just make sure it's pushed all the way in there. Mine was the same way the first time I did it.

I found that pulling on the hose until it stops moving, THEN putting the tool on works best.

Angry

I've taken many fuel filters off in my day, and the L is WITHOUT A DOUBT the most difficult. A good tool helps a bit though.

I still say next time I cut those frukking clips off and use small clamps. One side always comes right off,
and the other you fight with for 15 minutes

I hate those factory clamps

Yeah, it always seems like one side (usually the first side you try) comes off real easy, and then you have to mess with the other side to get it off. If you just keep playing with it and sliding the tool in and out, I've always found it to all of a sudden pop off. It doesn't seem to help by pulling, it's just a matter of getting the tool in there the right way and all of a sudden it basically falls apart. Good luck.

Mine came off nice and easy. I tried it on another L and I wasn't able to take it off.
