Creek, not the clunk!!!!!!

Ok, how do I fix this........

I have the clunk washers in, and still I have this damn creek at full right turn.

I have heard that you have to grease the steering stops?

What do they look like? Where are they?

Does this sound right?

I do have the bleltech 3/4 drop, could it be the spring?

Thanks guy's.

Yep, I have it in my Roush setup as well. It becomes more pronounced on a lowered truck because of the change in angle.

If you turn the wheel to the opposite direction and scoot underneath the truck, you'll noticed a "dimpled" area on the inside of the axel, mine was easy to find, since the metal-to-metal rub had made it a shiney little spot.

It is not actually the stop that is making the noise, it is a piece right next to it. I think that on a normal height truck, this area does not rub, but has a very tight clearance, once you change the suspension geometry with the drop, this piece now touches some and makes that groaning noise and full turn.

mine did that, grease the steering stops and all will be good. They are on the backside of the assembly, you SHOULD see a very small area that has been rubbed on. Grease the area as well as the "nub" that rubs on it...make sure you do both sides of your truck.

Ill take a pic later if you cant find it ..
