Got pulled over today...

I was coming home from work today noticed a state patrol coming toward me.. Apparently he noticed me before I did him...I saw him slow down and I did the same...Once I passed him he proceeded to make a uturn and I went ahead a pulled over. My liscense tag says "99BOLT" so he tells me i'm rolling pretty good in the "BOLT"..I laughed and told him that i didn't realize I was going that fast..He got me for doing 75 in a 55 zone..I already had me insurance and liscense in my hand ready to hand to him..I told him i was coming from work and he asked where I work and I told him the postal service.. He told me he was gonna look at my Liscense and just give me a courtesy warning. When he came back he said, " I heard these trucks run pretty fast" and I told him yeah it will move pretty good.. He told me his friend has one and was trying to talk him into getting one...During this time he's talking, I'm being as informative and friendly as I can.. ..He ask me if the truck had a mustang engine in it and I told him no it's a supercharged 5.4 with a few different internals.. Then he told me he wanted a harley and asked if it had the same motor and I told him yeah.....I told him thanks for the warning and he said, "No, thank you for pulling over"... I thought that guy was too cool...

BTW... Can someone recommend me a good Radar detector? THis truck is starting to become a cop magnet more so after I installed my 4lb pulley

All the cops that I've ever been pulled over by (3 total) were actually very nice guys. The first one kinda scared the chit outta me but I think he did that on purpose cause it was my first time being pulled over. The first 2 times happened when I was down in NC for school and once here at home. And I know the cops that patrol around here and have had conversations with them many times... nice guys. I guess the key is to just be polite and respectful and they will usually reciprocate

Yep I read it Maxine. You read this one? https://www.f150online.com/forums/sh...hreadid=121348

Again, my beef with cops was over my personal experience. I'm sure hot girls, well-connected people, and the occasional lucky SOB (no offense Rayden) get pulled over everyday and get off easy.

I've dated girls that could make a cop do push-ups on the side of the highway if they had wanted to. My ex got pulled over once for doing 68 in a 45 and simply flirted, showed a little leg, and got away with a warning. So what does this say other than the fact that cops are not objective (when they should be) while on duty?

And, yes, I've always been more than courteous with cops when I get pulled over. No harm in swallowing your pride to save yourself from the grief of the fine, going to court, points on your license, etc. I know how the game works...but not every cop wants to play. And there in lies the rub.

Pushups on the side of the highway? You know how much it costs to clean a uniform? No girl's that cute....................of course, I met my current wife on a traffic stop, and she (and a few members here who know her) will tell you she didn't like the ticket I gave her. Her revenge? She said yes when I proposed!

You should know my main beef all along was your blanket statement on here several times that "cops suck". Not one cop. Not many cops. Just plain cops suck. I've had my personal issues with cops, but I have also had them with auto parts guys, lawyers, doctors and I even had a problem with a Taco Bell employee. Does that mean all of those proffessions suck? Not in my book. Anyway, just had to throw a little jab at you. Maybe you'll see my point and maybe you won't. I was also a kid once, so I know how hard it can be.

VALENTINE ONE

[i] BTW... Can someone recommend me a good Radar detector? THis truck is starting to become a cop magnet more so after I installed my 4lb pulley [/B]
Pricey, BUT the only one TO have is the VALENTINE ONE!
http://www.valentineone.com/
Aside from being the BEST it is upgradeable. Other detectors
get thrown out when obsolete, the Valentine One you send in and have it upgraded to the latest technology or trade it in there for an upgraded new model. I have had mine for about 10 years now. Swear by it. Has paid for itself in my eyes a hundred times over.

I can go to another Taco Bell. I can go see another doctor. I can get advice from another lawyer. And I can order my parts from a different guy.

Can I do this with cops? No, they have a monopoly on "justice."

Well, when I lived in California, I met four real nice gals during traffic stops. One was a Highway Patrol Officer and another 3 Alameda County Sheriffs. Two gave me warning tickets and then some... (oh yea...) and the other two gave me tickets for speeds in excess of 90 miles per hour in 65 mph zones. Both of the tickets were taken care of / thrown out when I went to court thanks to my getting a little closer to the ticketing female officers. Hmmmm, those were the days when I was young. Now just a dirty ole man that will undoubtedly get tickets from any and all female cops that stop me. By the way, Cyntaxx... I respect most law enforcement officers immensely. YES, like any vocation there are jerks but again you find jerks in any field.. Cops have a ****ty job for the most part and for not so great $..

See my above post.

If you do not enjoy or find your job rewarding, you can always quit. No one is forcing anyone to become a police officer here. They are not volunteers either. If you are paid for a job, you do it to your utmost abilities. If you don't like it, quit and find something else that suits your liking better.

I'm ending this discussion. I've got too much work piled up here and other stuff on my plate. If you want to rehash this debate Maxine, hit me up on the Florida site in a week or so and we can tango.
