I just wanted to add, because Ive seen some rumors of yellow being added for 04, that I checked into it online with Ford today, and AS OF NOW, there is no yellow 04. DGS, Sonic blue, Black, White, Red, and Silver added back. It may change, but no yellow yet.

All right, now I'm SVT number 2718 of 25,000.(I was told 4000 total)

Well since the retail value of my collectors, limited production Lightning has gone down again I might as well have some real fun and drive the **** out of her.

the whole exclusivity thing is kinda sad... BUT you have to remember, the average person still probably doesn't know these trucks from a regular f-150 and dont know what they are capable of... that's part of why they get a lot of looks while driving I would assume... oh well. Have a good one guys

Drew is correct. There are a lot of people absolutely clueless as to what a Lightning is, let alone, what its capable of.

The other day i was parked in front of this Cafe. 2 Women and a man are sitting out from. The women stated " thats a cute truck "... Im like, Cute? It has ***** on the back

I had another guy telling me all of these things about my truck. Incidently, he didnt know who actually 0wned it. He claimed it was HIS truck in front of about 8 people at this bar Wed night. The funny thing was, i drilled with questions. He said it had 500 hp., IRS suspension, dohc with i-vtech and capable of running 12s stock. His last nail in the coffin was " its basically a BMW with a bed ". Pulease, dont make me puke.

So, as he is standing there with this group of neoseekers, i reached in my pocket and disarmed the alarm. The bright HID's were blinding them in the face as it flashes when disarming. I said, " hey man, you dont mind if i take YOUR BMW with a bed for a ride do you? "

Look on that fockers face was priceless.

I still see 3-5 Harley F150's a day. Very rarely a Lightning. So its not to bad, yet.

Most of the Lightnings I see down here in South Florida have never seen a coat of wax!!! Look like they seldom see a soapy sponge either. Front wheels are black from brake dust etc. I guess that gives me some exclusivity

Ford reported that they were going to continue the current F150 series for another year and relabel it under the Heritage name. This was done, so that they can battle GM with their recent strategy of rebates to entice buyers. Ford is set to launch it's new generation F150, which they feel will be a success, but they don't want to get in a discounting war with GM with their new truck, so the Heritage series is what they will battle them with. Because of this, it made it also made it easier to continue a 2004 Lightning, as all the basic body parts and chassis will still be produced.

I'm not sure why all the crying about the Lightning being continued. The Lightning will still be a limited production vehicle. Crying over the continuation of production is like a 99' owner crying that they built a 2000', and an 00' owner crying they built a 2001 etc.. Everybody wants more speed parts at reduced prices, well this only happens if the vehicle is more commonly produced.
