What kind of horsepower increase would I be looking at with just a new air intake and a new chip on an 03 L? Also what effects does the chip have on performance?

 

Depends on how agressive the chip's programming is and what type of air intake setup you're talking about. A simple 12 inch S&B cone filter will probably net you less horsepower than the more expensive JL/PSP ram air setups.

 

what is a good online site to look at prices and what there is to offer for this beast? In case you did not know I am a new L owner. 03 with 300 miles on it.

A good filter set up n Chip should give you @ 35 HP with a proper Tune and 4-6 lb Pulley as high as 50 HP or more

I am in south central VA...about 70 miles south west of richmond.

Nice to see there are a few Sonic Blue ones in the state. There are MANY good vendors here, I personally have the JDM one and love it on my Sonic 03. Also a big thumbs up for a chip, pulley and valve-body. You can expect to see 400 RWHP and 500 in tq.

I know the valve-body dosen't add HP however it shure helps plant it!!
