Thumbs up Something New to increase performance

Not sure if yall have heard of this stuff but I am thinking about getting the system, its very interesting. The kit would make a nice addition to a truck with a nitrous system already, here are some links. The cool thing is all three components work off the same system and it cools just about everything that goes into your engine.

CryO2 Fuel Bar
CryO2 Intake System
CryO2 Intercooler Sprayer

Any Opinions?

Here is the description from there website of the system.

The CryO²™ is a revolutionary new, award winning product designed to reduce the temperature of the air/fuel intake charge thus creating power. Through the science of aerodynamics and cryogenics Design Engineering has developed a system to harness the cryogenic properties of liquid Co2 to lower the air/fuel intake charge by up to 60%. The system is modular and can be easily expanded. The CryO²™ system provides two methods of cooling the air charge and one method of cooling the fuel charge all utilizing the same burst of liquid Co². Co² is readily available at any welding supply shop or where paintball guns are charged.

We've been kicking that one around a while.
NX makes a system too, my Locals Speed shops had it for quite some time

But they use Nitrous

They even updated it after the rice and ricer movie

The Fast and the Furious Ntercooler System
Supercharged? Turbocharged? Want more? TFATF Ntercooler will kick up to 50 more horsepower out of your air-to-air inter-cooled ride. The efficiency boosting effect of the N-tercooler is awesome and nitrous free! If you want more, this is it!

The best results will clearly be gotten with a air to air intercooler,
not with a water to air intercooler LIKE WE HAVE.
The problem with us is how long does it take from when we ice the heat exchanger in the front grill before that colder water makes a difference to the real intercooler inside out motor
(underneath the upper manifold and S/C to be exact)
Some figured it could take minutes before it reached a point it would help, with Nitrous that would be absolutely waaaaay too much money, co2 would be cheaper but still not consistant enough, might as well get Juice and squirt sub Zero right down the barrel LIKE I DO.

HOWEVER
co2 has great possibilites for the future
And I really like the fuel bar set up Hmmmmmmmmmm
That along with juice would be the schitt

Good post, great links
THANKS

if it cools the water in the heat exchanger really quick then i the question is how long does it take for the water in the intercooler radiator to get all the way in the motor? Another quesion is could you get it to spray for the whole run so it was constantly keeping cool intercooler fluid in the motor?

I was gonna put the bottle on the motor but i might do this intercooler thing now.

I am sure you could get it to spray for as long as you like. There are many size CO2 bottles if I remember right from my paintball days, but the cool thing is if the intercooler thing is not the best you still have the air intake and fuel coolers also. It would be interesting to see how this system affected performance on our trucks.

The F+F version is Nitrous Free I see, but yes the question is,
How long to cool the water and how long does it last ???

Me and V have been talking about this and kicking this idea around , (even before I saw these three new products).
My thought was to use co2 and somehow fog it into the JLP Air intake box. If we can start spraying directly into the "air intake source" during the burnout and staging process,
AND ALL THROUGH THE RUN,
it has got to make a huge difference on air inlet temp
Prob good for few tenth's too

A slow controlled fog right into the box would work perfect in Theory and then Juice it on top and my my wouldn't we have quite the ICE COLD air induction, maybe even directly into the PSP plate, there's already an extra Nozzle hole in Sals plate not being used
(1 for a dry nozz) (1 for a wet nozz)
Maybe even a mini manifold that fits right inside the PSP, JLP, or stock Air box would do it

I am not sure about actually releasing the CO2 into the engine through the intake because CO2 is a dirty gas, while nitrous is a clean gas, which is why people probably use nitrous instead of CO2. The CryO2 kit just runs the CO2 through a aerodynamic bulb that gets extremely cold inside the intake and the air passes over this bulb and also gets cold. Then the CO2 runs through the fuel bar which gets extremely cold and finaly it runs into the intercooler sprayer which actually releases the CO2 into the intercooler, but no CO2 will get into the engine through the intercooler.

Hey

I am interested.. may be that this would be about the same as the mod they are going to put in the '05's to get the extra HP.

there arent any hp increase claims, so anyone want to buy it and do a dyno test?

i wonder how long a 5lb bottle would last when sraying for 15 seconds at a time? Would Co2 last longer than nitrous? Which is cheaper CO2 or nitrous? Which would be colder?

Nitrous is colder.

C02 is cheaper.

you could just put a no2 spray bar for a carb in front of it, would be cheeper. imo
