"469" on front plate: Dallas, any ideas?

Folks, I don't know about you, but I've been noticing some bad-*** rides on the road in the last two weeks. All of them have seemingly 24" wheels on them, and they all have a license plate with "469" on the front.

I don't know if this is a specialty shop, and auto-club, or what. But I haven't seen a wack ride yet. They're all SUV's and whie I've seen this plate around town, on and off for about a year now, never have I seen 3-4 vehicles at teh same time.

Today @ Preston & 121, there was a white Yukon Denali, a White Escalade and a maroon Hummer H2, all with at least 24" wheels.

If anyone can shed some light, it'll be appreciated.

Hmmm, I live in Frisco and I haven't seen any. Never heard of any specialty shop...

Probably a club for all the big ballahs that go to Plano East Senior High.

OK Doug, you talked me into it.

Tell me how to do it again... All I know about HTML & resizing photo's is the proper way to spell it.

Size 'em for me (Like you did a few months ago) and I'll take it from there.

I knew you were gonna say that. I just can't find the post where you down-sized 'em for me.

Do I need to post a huge image and then shrink it down to get the answer too?

469 Plate

Is the front plate a mandatory plate? Around here (at least they used to) the unmarked police/sheriff/drug task cars all had 69 in their tag number. Could be something like that and they are using "normal" looking vehicles except for the 24's maybe.

SCHWEEETT!!!! I'm going to get ridiculously large wheels put on my truck and a "479" plate for the front! Might even get a visor too, with "479" to wear upside down and backwards... and a "479" basketball jersey... ooh, ooh, how about a big gawdy gold ring with "479" and a bunch of diamonds... man this is great. Just wish I could 'fford all this cool stuff...

Thanks for the great ideas guys...

Well, if the 469 area code is in Ft. Worth, then it's all over D/FW because we have it in Plano too.

The front Plate is mandatory in texas, although there was supposed to be a vote done to eliminate it. I guess that failed.

This is not a State issued plate. It's a black plate, with big, silver numbers 469 on it.

Maybe it is as simple as the area code, but if it is- they are simple indeed.

Oh well, I guess I'd better go look for a "972" plate or a "214"

Thanks everyone!
