wildneg,

I'm gonna do the same when I get home and I'll let you know what I find out as well.

mswaim,

I'll check that as I haven't, but I'm 99.9% sure that it has nothing to do with the wheels.

Thanks guys!!!

Mine actually will do the sputtering thing while driving but only after I let off the pedal and let the rpms drop...I can actually feel a slight bog down when it happens but the rpms dont show any signs of stalling. I have been trying to figure it out for a month or so, I dont like leaving my truck with mechanics so Ill just keep tryingt hings on my own I guess..

I just got back from a test drive...

It runs a lot quieter! So that is the problem.

What I did was jack the car up, take the socket and broke loose the collecter from the exhaust manifold. I removed the bolt all the way. I couldn't get to the other side (the other bolt). I'll have to try that again. But I got tone one easiest to get off ... off first. I took a screw driver and a hammer and forced the two pipes closer together. I put the bolt back on... tighten as much as it would go.. and then did the hammor thing again. I tighten up even a little bit more (hammoring the second time gave a bit more room).

I drove it all over and its so much quieter! Still just a wee bit but barely even noticeable. Check that out! Let me know how it goes!

If you need pics, let me know! I'll take a few! Lata!
