DO YOU REALLY WANT TO GO THERE?

Since you are so high and mighty, why not tell me why a reflash will make the cpu to things it can't do in the factory form. Better yet, why don't I make a trip to Indiana and you can explain to me face to face?

Are you threatening me with on-topic posts?

Leave the age out of this and we're fine. And just for your information, I doubt only 20 year olds are sending in their PCMs.

Hey bud, this was all covered in the other thread. You know, the one you peaked your head in, got overwhelmed, and started trashing Jim? You have a pattern huh?

I'm not here to hold your hand through all this new-fangled technology Gator. We've all tried to explain over and over the process, the results, etc.

Face to face? Sure bud, let me know anytime. Doug frowns on personal threats like this but anytime you want to back up your words on here, I'll be your huckleberry.

We'll mosey on up to Chicago Heights or Gary. You bring the silver beast.

I got school but I'm trying to squeeze it into my schedule (and budget). Depends on when my final is....

Gator, I'd watch your step down there with those Florida boys. I hear they play rough and aren't too "Team JDM" friendly.

that is the point a lot of people seem to be missing. a reflash does exactly what a pcm in factory form does. BUT the tables are larger for it to pull information from, so it can do things better.

The data tables stop at 8 psi of boost coming from the factory since that is all that they were intended to do. The main advantage to the reflash as I understand is that it increase the overall data that is included in these tables to points beyond the stock blowers efficiency.

This reflash is NOT intended to make more power, it may, but it is really intended to make safer power.

I will eventually be trying it as I change altitudes and temperatures rather radically over the course of a year, and I dont want to have to worry about how that is affecting the afr on my truck.

I do not profess to be an expert on this, but I do think that I understand what the advantages are and what should and should not be expected from doing this.

Post ***** Wars now

[edit]

Same here.

But playing devil's advocate, you see all the so called 'knowledge' out there being thrown around as fact, all the new people coming up asking the same questions without doing any research themselves and then turning themselves into the overnight expert. Do you really think most of them know what should and should not be expected from doing this.

I'd be willing to bet that someone would read the word 'adaptive' and ignore everything else. Then they would go on to mod the **** out of the truck without out any type of reflash, blow the engine then start a post here about it.

Still this is new stuff going on here, like it was said it may stick around, it may not. Those that are interested in it can go out and be the guinee pigs, those that don't like it can question it until they are proven right or wrong. Right now, time will tell more.

Think you got it wrong there fella, why not go back and reread. I asked a simple question and the f150 pattern continues. Thrashing Jim, you must have a bad case of memory lapse

Threat? Where's the threat? I would like to see those big ole keyboard muscles.......LOL

You have a pattern huh?
The only pattern thats become so obvious, is your lack of maturity, in your posting dept. Just how many people have you had "run-ins" with on this board?
