Thumbs up Roush on 03

Well I installed my Roush suspension today. I snapped a quick crappy pic so I wouldnt get Rob02's useless thread display :-) I love the way it sits, it does take about 3 hours. The only surprise in the installation was that it did take over a case of beers to install. I used the step-by-step instructions, thanks Cliff. Dont take his first step lightly, buy plenty of . I am so happy with it, even tho I have only driven it from the driveway to the garage. Well here it is, seconds after the install.

It looks good man. Very nice job. I'm just curious, but exactly how much of a drop is it from stock?

Sorry but I dont have exacty measurements.. I can tell you it is WAY nicer than I expected.. I was just out there taken out the trash an laughed lookin at in the garage, it used to tower my 302 Ranger and now it's only a couple inches higher but sits way lower, the height is right on the money, worth every penny...

question

I was gonna order mine without shocks ad the pick up some doetsch tech shocks locally. Are the re valved bilsteins a better choice? I was told that their the same length as the stockers and are prone to blow out..any real info from those who know?...sorry for all the question I'm just not having any luck with the people at roush answering my questions. Cyntaxx could you give me a brief run down on what the whole kit includes and what I need if anything. I allready have 2 inch shackles...Thanx bro

Front and rear shocks valved to work specifically with the raised rates of the Roush coils and leafs. IMO, they are a better choice than Doetch Techs or stock Bilsteins. They were valved to work well with the coils and springs as a package. I may end up getting those if I don't commit on some QA1s.

front coils

rear leafs

cam bolts and eccentrics (washers)

jounce bumpers (bumpstops)

Buying the kit seperately is actually cheaper

www.roushparts.com or call and ask for Eric.

Cliff: the rest of my stuff should be in before the end of July. I sent you another reply a while back....didja get it?

By the way, I have both my stock shackles and my 2 inch shackles. i thought I might use another hole in the 2 inch shackles to level my truck out some but I definitely want the back to NOT be lower than the front. Is this possible? By the way, I will have a hard tonneau. No hitch, but spare is there. So there is some extra weight...

Nope, this isnt the best measurement to go by, but there's 2.5 inches between the tire and the fender in the front and close to 4 in the back. I have stock shocks still with 2" shackles and I used the bottom hole.

Just got in from the first drive, it's awesome. The ride is still close to stock, and handles like it's on rails.
