Quick Help?? Why my brake pedal sponge....

Hey guys, we installed new Ruslow rotors/Hawk Pads, and and painted the calipers while at it.

But now after the bleeding system, three times, with ~1-1/2 L each time, we still get a 'nearly to the floor sponge for a brake pedal. I replaced the master cylinder assuming that was about only moving part that could fail and I even bled and successfully tested the new one before installing it. No joy

Went through the ABS diagnostic procedure to see if dump valves were leaking, these showed no problems.

So anyone got a magic wand or crystal ball? Where are we screwing up???

Thanks in advance,

Sponge Man

Oh, also no leaks anywhere and I looked for any ruptured brake lines (you know the rubber ones that ballon).

Aghhhhhhhhhhh

When I took my brakes off to paint them I reinstalled them upside down. It took me several times trying to bleed them to find out exactly what I had done. I don't know if you removed the calipers completely or not.

Yes, all calipers were off.

Front rotors have bleed screws at top, whcih seems right

Rears may be reversed, Out comes Mr. Floor Jack!!!!

Well, Easter, If I hadn't snapped the jack handle off, I would have been able to finalize swapping the rear brake rotors. It was my good floor jack too!!!

So I'll take a break and try again at lunch time.

I think your advice is right. The rear rotor nipples are lower than the intake likes. Gonna have to talk to Fub about this today as he was the one who removed installed rotors. But I was technical director on the project.

Thanks Again Buddy!!!

****, I am opening California's Premier Lightning shop, with only the finest, quality, field tested equipment. This jack failed the rigorous Hewitson field tests and will not be allowed Near this momument to Lightning Greatness.

When Fub gets out of juvy I'll get him shop training if they will take him

Maybe we can reflash him???
