Looks like that Ladys hair from 101 Dalmatians
but to each his own, Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder
or something
I still think this is by far the best looking Lightning EVER

If I ever do it, mine will be a clone of this
This pic is what made me buy a Lightning
it sat as my desk top for @ 1yr
after staring at it that long, I decided to go for the
$515.00 a month for 6 yrs
NO REGRETS...............

That has to be the best freaking idea for a paint job in the world. I love it.
I wonder how much that'll cost... my dad grew up with this 'auto body' guy. He owns a shop and does all sorts of work like that and actual body repair work. Hmm... might have to give my dad a call *grin* How many thousands do you guys guess?

Now, don’t take this as a flame, but someone from the outside looking in. I do not have a Lightning. The first thing that stands out to me about a Lightning is its appearance. Doesn’t matter about the horsepower, because someone in a POS looking truck/car could have serious horsepower with enough money.
What makes the Lightning the truck that it is, at least in my opinion, is not the horsepower but the appearance, the curves, the ground effects, the wheels and tires it is a complete package that just stands out and says Ford Lightning. In all honesty you could have a V6 in it and it would still have the look that only a Lightning could have.
Sure the serious power it has is awesome, but that is not what someone sees when they see the Lightning, but the look of the Lightning does indeed project power.
With the two paint jobs I have seen here it completely takes away from the complete package of the Lightning, it does not project power at all and it completely takes from the appearance.
The first truck the red with all the white squiggly lines don’t look like any kind of lightning I have every seen. It is way to much, it is not even easy on the eyes It looks like some kids in the neighborhood got a hold of some spray cans and destroyed the truck. Again that is not to flame, but it takes so much away from the appearance.
The other truck is much more tasteful but unlike the red one, it completely hides the identity of the Lightning appearance, hell it could be a Chevy for all I know, you can not see any body lines, no curves, like an undercover concept vehicle.
If you going to do something with your Lightning’s at least take into consideration of insuring it does not take away from the appearance but rather adds to it. I seen one once with what I believe is called “ghost flames” you could see they were there but they did not stand out like an afterthought. It added to the appearance.
Again, this is just something from someone looking from the outside that would LOVE to own a Lightning because it is the sweetest looking truck man has made.
