Show Me Your Valves!

Ok..... who has the most tore up Lightning engine out there. Share your pain.

This is what happens when you do not set your cam timing properly.

I am sorry to see that !! Did this just happen? Are you the guy that was running Ti valves? If so, do you think a valve got hung up in a guide ? It seems to me that the cams would have to be out of sink alot to do that. Did it happen on start up ? Or did it happen at high RPM ?

i think by far, terry from talon has the most blown motor award. 7 out of 8 rods gone.

Dale this happened back in December. I'm over it. Actually let go at WOT on the dyno.

Valve(s) hit piston>valve bent>vale binded>timing chain on one side broke>all hell broke lose.

Cam was off one tooth, but I have a big azz cam. Those valves are not Ti.

Yup, mod motors can get pretty ugly. I used to have pics of my #3 engine... Shows you that investing in a cam lock tool was a smart move when slapping on 32V heads.

I wonder if dante has some pics of the couple guys who blew rods out of their motors. Those do look pretty bad Steve.
