timing question
timing question
My tuner told me that my timing is 11-14 degrees on side one and 16-18.5 on side 2. What temp does it start pulling timing out or adding. Like say i am on side 1 does it stay at 14 degrees untill it hits a certain temp and pull timing in increments till it reaches 11? What temp should it be a 11 and whayt temp should it be at 14 is what i am trying to say.
It only changes in cold weather where the computer can add as much as 3 degrees. What the Tuner is saying is your timing is somewhere inbetween those numbers. They can set it at whatever they want but unless it's done on a Dyno it will fluctuate, or a better work might be it can be a tad differant on a differant Lightning based on lots of things like climate, elevation, etc...
Your Good, I can run 15 or 17 degrees in sub zero NY winters with no trouble and Have been doing so.

11 IS STOCK
Thats leaving EVERYTHING on the table
Mine will absolutely run like schitt and fall flat on it's face
with any timing under 15
You want @ 15 for the street
and 17-19 for the track
