truck running bad

i can't give no more than 25%throttle or my exhaust sounds like a harely (bike) and it barely moves, and the truck usually shakes when i do that a bit

i recently changed the fuel filter, the old one was extremely dirty
i also put a in fuel system cleaner

wat could be the problem?

Does it still run okay except the exhaust loudness? Or does it stutter?

it seems to me like the engine is not getting enough gas when u punch it, maybe u have a leak in the system and u are losing pressure somewhere. im not really sure just a guess. dissconnect what u put on and reconnect them again.

Are you absolutely positive this sound is coming out of the exhaust tips?? I mean do you hear it coming out of the tips, or does the truck just make a 'sound' like a harley. Have you popped the hood and looked under there? Have you done it with the enging running?

If your truck is a 99 like in your profile then it could be a line came of the fuel pump. this was a common problem on 99's

this prob happened after my truck been sitting in the driveway for 5days cause i had an accident at work and severly fracture my arm, first time i could actuallly drive this problem happened
i thought maybe moisture got in the gas cause of the huge temperature drops the past few days (it was like 40's one nite and amlost close to 100 another day)

the sound comes from my exhaust cause i can only hear it out my back window

the plugs are still in the head

and there are no leaks anywhere, i thought maybe changin the fuel filter will fix the problem, it only helped a bit wit the stuttering

Same exact thing with my truck last week. It was a coil pack even though it did not set off the check engine light.

My truck dies on me every once in a while and its usually after sitting for a while. I have had it in the shop lots of times but they could find nothing wrong. I also make the mistake of letting the fuel go all the way empty. I heard you should not let the fuel go under 1/4 tank in our trucks.

have you had your intercooler replaced? if not it may be leaking. when mine started to leak i had water in the intake and it did the same thing.

How did you find out it was a coil pack?
