I have a phazar(RMR) I think it works, but ask anyone else and they say it doesn't. I have no speeding tickets or warnings since I have got it(about 4 years ago), except for a trip a MS when I forgot it.

tests...

Funny, all the tests I have seen say they work great except for the Rocky Mountain version.

Anyone that has difusers to mount on your license plate should be good. The Escort one ties into the 9700 to provide better detection as well.

Just go to the grocery store and buy out the aluminum foil they have. Then wrap your car up in aluminum foil. I guarantee he want get a radar on you then.

Laser? i think the only detection you can have against those is a bunch of mirrors. just me thinking though...

I have friend who is a Police officer, had him "try" to track me with the Phazer, I was going 45 MPH on my speedometer, he had me at 47 MPH on radar all the way in. The Laser thing did work when I was pretty close, could have been better if I could aim it he said. The way they use laser, though I don't think it could do any good BUT, some places have a law against interfeering with a Peace Officer and they can get you for that, and he said they put out a signal that makes it so he knows you have a radar detector, it jsut draws attention to you, I don't remember how he said that was working, I'll ask again. I read an article about them once that made me think a good case could be made for charging someone using one with obstruction of justice, but I'm certainly not a lawyer. The article was about the states that havce outlawed them, the thesis was even in states where it's legal to have the radio thingy, how you attempt to use it isn't. To give you an idea of how much I liked mine, when I traded in the 2000, I left it in the armrest, on purpose.

Honestly a good radar detector is all you need. Just use your head when speeding and you shouldn't have troubles.

Watch, now that I've said this I'm gonna get a ticket first thing tomorrow for speeding.

I have the K40 radar and its all in dash and hidden. It works really well too. There laser jamming stuff is close to the best I think. I got the laser jammer but it looks really weird on the front of our trucks because you have to mount it above your license plate. I have pics in my gallery.

K-40, there was an artical in MM&FF mag I have one and have been hit by laser several time and no tickets!

Only once did I have a state trooper come out to investigate. He got on my tail with regular radar (microwave) and my radar detector was going crazy. Let him figure that one out. It only blocks lasar not radar.
Further, mine quit working after 3 years called K-40 they said to send it back so i did the sent me a brand new one and evev sent it 3 day for me. No cost!
