Thumbs up LFP/ArtCarr Trans Kit arrived today!

This kit rocks! Full master kit with some blue plates. All new bushings, and thrust washers. New sprag. New Sonnax boost valve. New filter. I also got the accumulator body too. I will be pulling the trans on Monday and doing a complete rebuild and I will be posting pics along the way! Stay tuned! I will post some pics of the kit later when I get home. I can't wait to get this done. Big thanks to Mark at LFP! -Mat-

Cool

What kind of improvement did you see from the converter? Any measureable ET gains? And how do you like it from a easy driving stand point?

Give me the skinny man! I'm chomping at the bit to buy one.

Thanks, WOT

I think he's talking about a rebuild kit.

Not a Torque converter.

As long as you have tires put it to the ground you can pick up a few tenths from the converter. I will be sending mine back to be gone thru during the trans rebuild just for safe measures. No problems driving on the street with the converter. I love it! -Mat-

Just a little update, I got slammed at work so I have been working 12 hour days almost and haven't gotten a chance to do anything with my truck yet. I will let everyone know once I get it started. I apologize. -Mat-

what should i expect to pay for install for rebuild kit?
Also after it's installed and my tranny is rebuilt with new parts, it how close to bullet proof is it? Will it then be able to handle a torque converter with a stall to 2400? what is the difference with stock and the rebuild kit from lfp? thanks, Shane

If you're looking for a bullet - proof transmission, the ONLY way to go is Gregg Evans' Monster Box Transmission ( IT's the transmission that Sal from Powersurge Performance has been so satisfied with and he runs 10.4's with 1.5 60' times ) now if you don't what to go that extreme, check out his post on the National Lightning Owners club about his street/strip rebuild kit (it's probably more of what you're looking for and it goes for $449........... it's also better than a competetors rebuild kit that sells for more money!!! just ask around the 2,000 people he's done transmission upgrades for and see what they have to say ......... why not spend less for a better kit???

Why is the Gregg Evan's kit better>??? With the LFP/ArtCarr kit you get more parts then with the other kit. Maybe next time you should do a little more research before you start bad mouthing some1 else's products. I will give my complete and honest opinion once I install the kit. -Mat-
