Smile 1st time at the track: results

well, things didnt go as well as i planned, its so hard to keep the F1's to stick! i spun every gear! and pulled off a 9.4 in the 1/8 : i was hoping to get into the 8's! but the track here in jacksonville sucks, i need to get a pair of hoosier and then we will be in buisness!

1st thing you got to do is check that Volant you have. Make sure it's a 90mm MAF, and not a 80mm.

Well, that's about a 14.66 or so; traction is key with anything fast, but especially these trucks.

CONGRATS

Did you lower the pressure in the F-1's ???

I ran mine @22-25 lbs and got 1.8-2.0 out of them everytime and never got worse than a 2.0.
Don't listen to people telling you not to heat them,
it makes the difference of night and day.
Go around water if possible, then do a long "low RPM" (@3000RPM) burnout
When it's time to go, stomp it and watch those baby's stick

I agree with Rob_02Lightning. It seems to me if I do a little smoking of the tires, I can hit it harder, with very little spinning. Maybe a truck length. I have yet to drop air pressure, and best 60 is 2.001, the rest or 2.1--.
