Mod weekend.....result's!?

Well guy's had some highlight's and some dark moments.....

Here is a list of things that I did:

JDM electric Fan Kit w/ Cobra R water pump
SVO single blade throttle body
REM intake tube
PSP fast air
90mm Mass Air
Superchip's Flip chip (JJSvt tuned)
JLP lower pulley

1. JDM fan kit and waterpump.
This is a VERY nice setup, wiring was a breeze. But, the instructions say.......When you take the water pump out, some antifreeze will come out, wrong, all that anifreeze comes out!

2. SVO single blade throttle body.
Very easy no problem here.

3. REM intake tube.
What a piece of *****. I spent more time screwing around with this thing than anything else. It would not slip over the mass air at all, had to modify the gasket, then it would slip off the throttle body. MAN THIS THING SUCKS. Looks nice though.

4. PSP fast air
Very nice kit, it should have pictures on the instructions. I had to grind down on the lip on inside fender well. That is one serious bend.

5. 90mm Mas Air
Very easy... no brainer

6. Superchip's Flip Chip (JJSVT tuned)
Very easy, got a hand cramp from scraping the contact's clean.
Thumb's up to JJ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

7. JLP Lower pulley (4lb or 3lb???????)
I have done this before, pretty easy second time around. I like JLP pulley's allot. But, I had bought a 3lber about a year ago used, then I recently bought a 4lber, so I took off my 3lber. Then I put them ontop of each other, they are them same size! WTF so now I don't know what I have? Have to call JLP today and figure out what I have......

Over all a good weekend.

So I fired her up, everything sounded ok. Took her out for a run, stepped on it a little, WWOOOOHHHOOO!!!!!

My GOD! It is like a whole new truck. You can hear the Eaton so much more now. You can also hear a whistle from the throttle body and the Fast Air. The fan kicked on when she heated up, also when I turned the air on. So all is good!

I just wish I could figure out the whole pulley thing....... I really want to step into her hard.

The only question I have is.

When I stop, I have a really low idle. Like 400-500. it almost wants to die. Do I have to adjust the TPS?

Thumbs up

Get it out to a track and let us know just how deep a 12 you can run.

BTW: My REM tube is tight as well. But with a little water on the rubber seal during assembly, it slips right on. And once it's there? It stays!

On the Idle. Try unplugging the IAC and see if it will idle? if not you need to adjust the idle speed on the throttlebody. Set your idle to about 650 w/IAC unplugged. Reconnect IAC when set and you should be good to go! Hope this helps
