You guys that are running so fast with just a chip. What did your truck run bone stock. I got a 00 and it ran 13.69 @ 100.5 stock so do you think I might pick up that much with a chip only!!!!

 

it depends...... track conditions, track prep air quality all play a role in how good u can run!!!! The track an air were on my side that day......

 

Yeah,trucks running a little i guess you could say slow with the heat here but it was all to be expected.But last week(friday night at e town)during the camaro and firebrid v/s mustang and ford i managed to run a 12.53@98 mph on breaks hard..still broke out on a 12.66 dial.I wish i woulda known how fast i was going,woulda loved to have seen whats i was in for.

By the way,Blown318,i ran a 13.2 bone stock in late Feb at e-town.But the chip and filter has probably be one of the most impressive mods i ever put on the truck.To go from a 13.2 to a 12.75 on street tires was just un believeable with not many mods at all.
Oh and by the way Vinn thanks again for the use of the tires.They worked out awsome.Spanked two turbo rx 7's then lost due to a little nap i took at the line.But other then that the day was awsome.If you didnt get my call,your tires are at JDM.

What vender would you get a chip from to get the best out of a stock truck. Alos if I got a flip chip and on 1 setting had it where they put the timing a little higher and i used race gase would that help.

With just a street program chip from PSP and a filter kit, my 01 ran 13.1@106.4mph at Cecil County back in April...This was on stock tires with like a 2.02 60 foot...

If I had slicks, it would have been in the 12's for sure...

I picked up the dual program chip from JDM.I personally think the dual is the way to go to get the most out of the chip.And like i said i did manage to get a 12.75 out of my truck with just the chip and filter on street tires.
