Rollpans and body mods

I am planning on dropping the rear bumper and installing a rollpan, but instead of just putting end caps on the sides I want to totally get rid of the rear steps and smooth the whole thing out. So when you look at her from the rear all you see is the tailgate, rollpan, and some FAT fenders. I figure with a few cuts and some glassing I could get the results I am looking for. Has anyone done something like this before? I don't mind being the first but I just want to know how much trouble I am getting into.

Never about anyone doing that before. If you've never done that type of work before, I'd say you are definately over you head.

If you are going to go that route, make sure you pic out a rollpan that you will like for a long time, because short of a new bed thats going past the point of no return.

I've never seen it on a Lightning, but I know allot of F150 guys do that. Its allot of work to do, but it does look kinda cool.

I personally don't know how it looks, its ok but nothing that great either.

wouldnt you have to also bend the ground effects(the rear ones after the back tires) to contour in instead of being straight like they are now. Sounds like alot of work, but all the power to you cause its something original on a lightning.

Its been done.(almost positive)

The guy with the suicide doors did it.(remember he was selling it on E-bay for $60,000 or something)

Not much that hasn't been done.
