ok, i have a friend with a dodge dakota R/T 4.7 liter, and he swares he can take a stock L, i have a cold air intake, chip and 2# pulley, he says i still wont be that far ahead, so i think its time to put him to shame, the track is tomarrow i will post again and tell how it went.....

 

hmmmm. . . 4.7 liter vs 5.4 liter with a supercharger. Whats this guy smoking?

 

i thought R/T's were only 5.9l? either way you should fair pretty good unless he has quite a few mods (ie: supercharger)

What do you mean by dogs. Good are slow. I was almost certain the came with 5.9L. What would be a big deal about them if they only had a 4.7.

 

5.9L stock low 15's 1/4 mile on average.

5.9 L needs throttle body, intake, headers/exhaust,
and supercharger at #9 to run about 13.3-12.7 sec.
add heads and cam mid upper 12's usually.

or same mods(minus sc) + msd & 150 shot mid 12's.+-

traction/altitude/weather/driver depending.

 

Michigan Lightning club invited the R/T club when we rentede the track.
the only one that was very fast (beating L's) was spraying all the way down the track.

Don't get me wrong they sound mean as hell, and some where beating L's off the line (more traction) but in the end the L won.

the only RT that beat me was spraying all the way down the track. I spun like crazy off the line (little too anxious).

There's a few R/T's out there that can beat stock AND modded L's but they are few and far between. I know this because my roommate has a Dakota that beats the pants of my stock L. It looks like a plain old dakota until you start it up and then you know it's mean. Oh, dakota R/T's ONLY have the 5.9L engine.

 

I laughed out loud in the office for this one, and my boss came over. You owe me a job.

 

The Sonic Blue trucks looks like it is in heat.

 

Every R/T I have seen on the road (with the exception of 1) has always floored it past me in slow traffic trying to show off to me. I cant wait untill one of them slams into the car infront of them at the light... they have a serious problem accepting the fact that their trucks are slow.. 5.9 or not...I have a friggin supercharger

(plus our trucks just all around look/drive much much better, and have way more leg/head room)
