Raced a Badass Mustang

Last saturday I was cruising with my girl in the L it rained that night so the roads were damp, and im going over a bridge coming up to a red light, when i see what look to be late 80's mustang lights im like sweet finally something better than a POS ricer. he pulls up its a 87' mustang thats got the body kit and corba r looking hood and it had a nice deep rumble, which sounded like a piped 302 so im like no problem. the light turns green and i punched it but couldnt get traction and by the time i got under the lights its already got 4-5 lengthes on me im like badass so i role back up hes like it that stock im i go yeah and hes like we sell parts for that you want a number, i agree and we pull into the station, he pops his hood and hes got a stroked 351 with a whole lot of headwork as he explained, then he told me about how a couple of weeks ago he ran into a lingenfelter and that the dude was pissed cause he couldnt pull on this mustang, which i thought was badass, i know lingenfelters run like 9.9's and are twin turbo, but where can i find more info on them? thanks guys

Not all Lingenfelter Vettes run 9s. They have some different variations on the kits that they sell. Similar to a "stage" package that some tuners would offer.

Wow... That was painful to read...

By the way - it is not really the best idea to even attempt to race on damp roads...

Theres a kid around town with an 03 cobra with a kenne bell and 200 shot of nitrous that beat the actual yellow twin turbo lingenfelder vette that was featured in several magazines, It supposedly goes over 200 mph if i remember right!!

200 shot and KB is more than Nitrous Pete runs isn't it? I thought he was the fastest 03 Cobra with the stock longblock if I remember correctly?

Rain

doesn't everyone race in the rain.

Driving down the Expressway at about 70mph (damp roads (no rain)) if I nail it I can feel the rear tires bust loose.
yeah yeah, that's not safe.
well Its my truck

I almost got ripped my a mini van in the rain. We were both going straight adn werent racing and i wanted to get through the light first so i didnt have to be behind her. Anyway, i got no traction and she almost took me! I dont know how you could possible race on wet traction. Be careful!

Coming back from WFC this year I was on the highway with a C4 for a loooong time. It was raining though and we both stayed cool even though we were itching to race.

I won't drive in rain, let alone race. Driving in the rain is no fun, and I don't drive unless it's fun.
