Hey guys and gals, I am trying to figure out how low to go in the fdront with my new L, could someone please post some pics of different rate drops (1,2,3,4,etc....), I will be using a JLP 4" rear shackle. Any help would be awesome, I would love to tackle this this weekend!! Thanks Jonathan

I'm confused(it's not the first time) As far as rear shackles go.When you hear four inch etc that is the length of the shackle. I have the JLP adjustables. Longest hole gets 2.25 inch drop. Basic geometry tells me that this is about all you can do.

As far as the front goes when inches are talked about it is the actual drop not the length of the spring. For your info with my shackles installed the truck pretty much sits level. Good luck and remember to reset the pinion angle and get a alignment after you do the rear.

I am new to the whole L thing....I heard JLP has a 4" drop shackle, now I don't know if that will give me a true 4" but it seems to be lowest out there...With the front, I am pretty certain that a 3" spring gives you almost a 3" drop. i.e. 3" springs=3" drop?? I am just trying to get a feel for how it look swith the front lowered around 3"....Yeah, I will reset the pinion angle and do the alignment, I had to on my Harley truck too!!! Thanks!

Go as low as you can! Stance is everything!!! Coils and Drop A-arms for the front.

DJY1: I love that drop! That should've been an option on our trucks! (along with those rims)...
