Cool

HI!... Well I ordered a set of "03" CNC ported "P.I" heads from MIKE TROYER. CNC porting is done at FOX LAKE and then MIKE has the rest done by his own guys. I got the CROWER STAGE 2 cams, full polish job, larger sodium filled FERREA S/S one piece valves with 5 angle valve job. Stiffer "BEEHIVE" valve springs and all other valve train components are brand new. On a N/A engine you wil notice a bit more performance than a SC'ed engine. Let's just say they should push me near or above the 400H.P (FLYWHEEL) # in N/A mode with my current mods. I'm also planning on having my intake manifold ported/polished to match the heads and then have the entire manifold CERAMIC coated inside and out.

Why take such a great project to 90%?
A couple reasons.

1.- Money, I had to choose. I know people say you could bolt the KB on later. But for me there will be no later. I am getting married in 3 months and starting to save for a bigger house and furniture. So this is my last big lightning purchase for a while.(I have spent a small fortune on the L)

2.-Convenience, The KB is adjustable for street and strip. Heads are not.

3.-Resale, If for some reason I ever need money or sell the L. I can take off the KB and sell it very easily. Cannot do that with heads.

4-Where do you stop?- I have no roll cage.. I am not upping my fuel system and so far I am not getting a monster box.

I figured for me this was the best route.

I should be able to handle most vehicles on the road, run some good numbers on pump gas and not have to deweight the L to run high 11s and have daily driving capabilities.

Plain and simple jerry,

Stock you can flow some great numbers with our trucks, but if your going to boost the hell out of it then porting is going to be worth it. I honestly don't think its worth the money with any setup that is still running a stock eaton blower. If you get a kenne bell or a works, then don't even hesatate. port those biatches!

No problems yet.

I really only run it hard at the track. You do not hear about a lot of Kill stories from me.

But if it goes then a monster box it is.
