What do you want to know ?

I reached a frustration limit with Ford, the lightning community, and some of the members here, and since I was going to redesign the site, while I brainstormed on a redesign I decided to take the site down.

I had asked this community for help with the FAQ and other things on the site a number of times and was ignored so I didn't figure that it would be important to anyone here.

[sarcasm on ] I mean none of the 3+ million hits a month could be coming from folks here because they all think I'm a *****. [/sarcasm off]

Maybe once we clean the remaining sewage from this site and I get a couple decent nights sleep I will be able to come up with a decent design for the site and bring it back up with a new face.

Hey Doug,
i wasnt trying to put you on the spot bumping this to the top. I love that sight and think it is very constructive. I go there frequently when i am trying to do an install or just to search around. I hope things work out and you get it back up. It is a great asset to the L community as well as this site. Thanks for helping us l owners with info and a place to talk. You have a tough job but i feel you do a good job. Thanks again.

Doug, what trouble was Ford giving you? Licensing/Copyright issues?

Its not the internet, its the immature, uncivil, name calling, vituperative, antagonistic, self centered children who abuse the internet. No wonder BBQ and Raoul almost never post any more.

 

You pretty much answered EVERYTHING I was thinking was the problem. My computer skills are lacking as in none! But I could weld something

Hope you do get it back up because when I first came upon the Lightning scene, your site is where I got the info to do the mods that I learned from F150online.

And I understand the frustration comment only to well. A couple brews and a couple nights sleep seems to make thing better, for me atleast

Hey, take your time and whatever you decide to do is cool....Ive learned alot from both sites......However, those of us that love these sites....do miss them when they disappear!!!!



Heres to guys like you that take the time for guys(and a few girls) like us!

 

I bought a silver 00 late in that year, and eventhough i was new to the whole computar, internet scene, i stumbled across SVTLIGHTNINGS.COM and learned a great deal from those guys that did the things first, and told what they learned!! and it prolly to little to late, but i say THANKYOU!! to Doug, and that site, regards,, Greg
