Joe this guy must not have ever seen your truck or heard of the famous Soap. Let me tell you Joe's Black L (black the bitch of all colors) was a show piece, unbelieveable, Joe could take it to a event on the sunniest day of the year and outshine anything there. no scratches, no swirls, just perfect black. Which is the hardest thing to do with black paint. Ed
I thought we were talking about scrathces. You dont have to use sand paper if all you got is swirls. But if you got scratches in clear coat you better use a little sand paper. and if you want to take out the factory orange peel use sand paper first.

Ok I have a question for you guys. This one is a little more difficult.
When I bought my truck from the dealer, there was a small scratch on the hood.
They tried to cover it up with touch up paint, but it looks like **** (literally, it looks like a clump of bird crap).
What do I have to do to get rid of this crappy touch up job and then get rid of the scratch underneath?
I will take as long possible. $$ and time are no considerations. I just want to get rid of it b/c my paint is almost perfect and I want to make it perfect

Good for you Joe, just dont get people advice on old *** technology when newer products exist without the use of nasty rubbing compound. Too old skool man.
