The stock tonneau is actually very low profile, except for the ribbing which acts as support for wind resistance.

If you can fabricate straight ribs instead of the curved ones that come with the stock tonneau, it will be perfectly flat.

Plus, the quality is great.

I have that tonneau, I like it but you have to keep it clean all the time. I useually keep my truck in a trailer but it had to sit outside for like two weeks in the fall, and the polin stained it a little....just a heads up.........

It looks like that one doesn't even cover the "stake" holes ...

I like the stock one ...

RTKilla: That is the tonneau I got it works really well. It doesn't leak and it was easy to install.

They look alot alike. The oem seems to be a little bit thicker around the edges and sits up a little bit higher. That just my opinion though. I think the oem looks very good though. I love not having to worry about my stuff not getting wet, especially when i go get groceries and it is raining.

The best soft bed cover in my opinion is from " Craftec" . They cover is flushmount, it does have weatherstripping to prevent water leaking, it is removeable in seconds, and the best thing is that it includes shocks so that it flips up like a hard shell ! I'll try to find some pics.

Do any of you worry about security with the soft tonneau's???
I really want something that will prevent the thieves, but don't like the hard tops, and the retrax top is big dollar. A razor or knife and two seconds later the soft tonneau is rendered useless.

I own the LeBra, and would gladly trade anybody for the factory cover.

I've never seen the Craftec.

Heres a pic of the Craftec Tilt Soft Tonneau. Looks good. I was going to get one but got a deal on a stock tonneau instead.

All of the cross beams were short. The bar by the cab would fall out. I ended up drilling through the corners of the aluminum and screwing them together. So basically it just doesn't fit as well as it should.

I had Extang. It wouldn't even fit at all. It was off by 2 inches in 1 direction. I talked with Tom (some big wig reagon manager). He told me tough **** it doesn't fit. And to make sure that I flamed him on the message boards. So here I am flaming the SOB **** head. I talked with the company the sold me the first one, and they sent another. Same thing. So I went to their install shop. At first they said it will fit. Then they saw their was no way. Thats when I bought the LeBra.

It's low profile, and I like it. I just like the factory one better.
