What does it take to run a very low 12 ?

Im sure this has been asked many times before but I did a seach and couldnt find results I was looking for.

1) What Mods does it take to run low 12's without N20 ?

2) What kinda ETs can I expect with a 6lb Pulley,Chip,A-filter and electric fan ? Please keep in mind I dont want to change out the convertor.

3) What could I expect if I add rear slicks ? or What should I expect without the slicks if you answered the 2nd question, saying I needed slicks.

Thanks for the help,

Buzz

Hundreds of people from hear run low 12's and hi 11's
with Filter-Chip-n-Pulley
Some use 2lbs, some 4, some 6, and some 8

With your Mods you should do low 12's No Prob on a good day with the right conditions

I run 12.7's with filter-chip-t/b-n-4lb pulley
no suspension, tranny, exhuast, or fan or cooling Mods

I also run 12.0's with Juice

hard to answer you question,
It's all in the timing and the tuning

I watched Gator run 11.9 over and over and over at Cecil with his Mods

6lb lower
1 or 2lb upper
Elec Fan
Good Exhuast
Good Bars
28x10 Hoosiers
Skinnys up front
T/B
PSP Tuned

in theory you should have the Mods to do it now

By adding slicks, you should see 2/10ths if your consistant now.
But some people have terrible 60's on F-1's and may see more.
Remember you need bars and a loop before the slicks

The catback won't help any.......spend the money on traction bars instead.

With a 6# lower, e-fan, chip, filter, traction bars and slicks my buddy ran 12.22.

Rob and Fast Gator seem to run great times for limited mods.

Didnt the Fridge run 11's with a 2lb lower pulley and a bunch of mods?

Fridge

The Fridge went 11.97 but now it's sitting with a blown motor. Hey Buzz, low 12's are very attainable like the others stated, but watch out for the 12.0 wall, breaking it can be a little tricky. I ran a few 12.0's at the end of last season, and then got down to 11.80's early this year, good luck, race hard but safe, JohnnyAC
