Riced Cobra :(
Riced Cobra :(
Okay, there's this 03 Cobra I've been hearing a lot about lately. The owner is local and picked it up last fall when they first came out. He is a nice guy and had some pretty sweet toys, including an 01 Cobra and an 02 Red Lightning.
When I first caught a glimpse of the 03 Cobra a while back, I thought, "wow, guess he is big into streetracing." The reason I say this is it's a dark shadow grey with "Terminator" written on the bottom of its doors in blue" It's got a Ford emblem stuck next to the vinyl lettering and there are other blue stripes and such around the car. He's also got blue neons and some other stuff. All in all the type of car someone would run thinking it was a riced out GT only to get whupped. He does have a Lightning pulley and thinks he's getting about 15 psi. It's also got a Bassani catback, lowered 2 inches, and some frame braces.
But I finally talked to him today and found out he knew very little about his car and probably wasn't the street racer type who was doing the neons and vinyl stickers to fool his competition. It just made me a little disappointed

That's another reason why I was surprised that he wasn't just doing the graphics and stuff to fool people!

HAHAHAHAHA, I forgot to mention, it is an old guy! Definitely at least in his 50s.

Wow, now that is very strange!

I was very surprised and very disappointed. He looked like someone who grew up in the muscle car era so I don't know why he has resorted to this....
Don't get me wrong...it's still a fast car. Just thought the exterior would be a bit more tasteful.

Of course it's a Ford, and the worse part is, THEY DID IT

At the time I guess I liked it, but looking at it now, I don't know ?

I will probably be able to make it! Will I need to bring a set of brake pads in advance?
Let me know the details and I'll try my best to show up. I wanna see what that Roush setup is like! And I'm already getting tired of drag racing

Hey Bob, should I get the adjustable endlinks from Stan for my Roush setup? I plan on upgrading to Hellwig or Hotchkis sway bars in the future...(as well as Stan's panhard)
Also, do I need his heim joint kit? I remember it being recommended for the Hotchkis leafs/QA1 setup...

Good.
Extra brake pad requirement is solely dependant on your driving technique and if you run just one day or two.... if two, yes (fluid might not hurt either)

As for adj. end links, totally up to you. to drill or not to drill, that is the question.
Since you're lowered/ing, a heim joint kit should be included IMHO. Check with Stan however.

Reminds me of this one time at LACR. THere was a sonic blu mustang, no badges so I duno what kind. HUGE cheese grader on the trunk. Whenever the domestics rolled by the exhaust would always set his car alarm off. Man was that guy something....but it ran pretty decent...I think it was around high 14's
