BLOWER Mysteriously Louder Suddenly?

For some reason my Blower really whistles and sounds alot more mechanical all of a sudden? I have a JL StageIII Ram-Air w/#6 Pulley. It is more noticeable in gear at idle than in neutral but is getting progressively louder. It's not just an air sound???? Is this normal for the Blower to get louder? I have 27000kms on the Truck.

Yep - Its normal

The stock pulley has rubber in it to help quiet some of that noise.

Next time you hear it in drive put ebrake on HARD and raise the rpm about 75-100 see if it goes away ...

If so it is normal sound that has been referred to here by some as cavitation. You can search on that to get more info and you can have your chip reburned with extra 75 rpm or so idle to get around it

After I installed my 4lber i noticed a louder whine just during normal driving that I didn't notice before also... when i slowly depress the gas on the HWY it sides like a delta plane's turbine spooling up....It sounds cool but wondering whats causing this..

I had that same problem until I got rid of the old blower and installed a KB. It is noisier at the lower the rpm.
