Warranty Question
Warranty Question
I was wondering, do the police interceptors have a chip? If so, then why does Ford void warranties on Lightnings with chips? It confuses me on how Ford knows the police force beats those cars a lot worse then any L owner with pride would ever consider doing and still services those vehicles with no problem. Is it the issue that these cars are used to serve and protect? Another thing to think about, there are fewer L's then police interceptors.
Not sure on whether they have a chip or not. As for warranty on police cars, I think if they started voiding warranties on cruisers they would be *****ting in their own pants. Ford pretty well has the market covered on cruisers as nobody else really offers anything in a rwd vehicle. They may have the market covered but I think they are also smart enough to know that if they start giving the police dept's problems with warranty claims, then Impalas, Intrepids, etc. would start looking awful attractive to the police agencies! And yes, I can assure you those Crown Vics are used, abused & have the **** run out of them! Think of this too-most L owners are exxxtremely particular on maintenance & will use the highest quality oil filters, synthetics, etc. while the number crunchers in the municipalities use the cheapest bulk crap money can buy! I have a friend who works for the sheriff's dept. maintenance & they use some cheap@ss non-branded oil filters & 10w30 oil that makes my oil out of my truck after 3k look clean
yet they have never had any warranty problems. Guess they don't want to mess wit da law
