Dammitboy, sorry you have developed a hernia. Take it easy for a while and let your body heal itself. Too bad the hospital didn't offer you any Demoral(sp?)...it worked for me a few years ago.

Passing on the Morphine was an error in my opinion. I had

Me too! Except my dumbass stayed at home for 4 days
18 days in the hospital and morphine up the yaya. Talk about a life turning experience. First time in the hospital since I was born!

Hey Rob, hope I doesn't hurt to laugh.
I waked up 3 days after the operation with 2 bags of "stuff" dripping in both arms, and the first thing the nurse says, "Are you in pain" Don't even know my name, but I say YES. WooooHooooo, Iam in LaLa land again for 4/5 hrs. I wake up and the nurse says, you got to pee? I say no, she says you have to.
Well, I proceed to tell her, Gator pees when he wants to, and nor a minute before. She proceeds to tell me , I'll get a catheter(sp)????????
I say big deal, I'll pee when I want. SHe says, "I'll give you till 5pm.
5pm come and some battle-ax come in the room (NOT the cute nurse I have been dealing with) Anyway, she's carring about 12ft of 5/8" heater hose. I say, WTF's that for?
After my shock, I tell her I can pee standing on my head, if that whats she wants!

18 days good thing you were in la la land.
Like you it was the 1st time since I was born (other than a Motorcycle Accident but that was in and out.)

I went crazy doing nothing for 2 days and Yes I went back to work. Lunch time right now. The Doc I end up getting is this Beautiful GODESS. Hot skinny little thang.
She comes in introduces herself and says
Mr Caruso pull you pants down,
Then pull you underwear down,
After the old sqeeze and cough the old ***** + Sausage deal

She has me lay on my side and the biiiiitch violated me straight up the old back door

Needless to say, there was no phone numbers exchanged

Hey Rob, I have the same hernia from getting off a horse the hard way.
In excercise class the ladies tell me it is like a pregnancy hernia, and the way to help it is,, fold up a sheet or something, (a wide belt), and wrap it around your belly. Then grab the ends and pull on them when you do situps. It keeps you guts inside while you tighten the stretched muscles. Mine is getting smaller.
