Dual Supercharger, How do I Sell?

I'm Sick of all the R&D work; how do I get rid of all these parts?
Ebay was a complete bust. The amount of boost is unreal. However how fast can you go in a giant cloud. It has never had any reliability issues (other than *****ting the transmission clutches all over the place.)

Oh yah, big number guys, dump those crappy intake Walbro fuel pumps and go to an external aeromotive pump. That will eliminate 90% of all your tuning nightmares/unrepeatablities.

Another thing, Bosch has a nice little calc. for fuel rail sizing, please check it out before you try to make big numbers.

Ps. before you try to copy some of the big numbers you see on the board; make sure you are running the same gas. Race gas c-12 contains atleast much more energy (wink wink).

What kind of dual supercharger?
I haven't had problems with my dual walbro high volume pumps. I get 35/36 psi at idle without shorting anything.
VP brand C16 is nice for supercharged or turboed vehicles.

Ebay was a complete bust. . . .
(1) $7,000 is WAY overpriced. I don't care if the parts cost $30,000, a supercharger system of dubious engineering (no offense intended) is only worth so much.

(2) The fake timeslip posted here killed much of the potential buying public.

(3) The exhaust is unrelated to the SC and should have been sold separately.

(4) The text of the ad was gibberish. Almost impossible to tell what was actually being sold. Someone should have spent a little more time on the text rather than 5 photos of the same thing.

Sorry to be harsh, but you did ask.

I am in L.A. and would have bid on the system were it not for the $7K reserve.

You should also take some pics of the headers w/o the header wrap. I would guess that they are probably burnt up pretty bad if it was run like that for a long time.

I especially liked this part of the ad...

ALL WATCHES AND ELECTRONICS ARE SOLD AS IS!! WE WILL REFUND WINNING BID IF YOU ARE UNHAPPY, UPON RETURN OF SAID ITEM IN COMPLETE CONDITION. PLEASE ASK ANY QUESTIONS BEFORE YOU BID TO SAVE TROUBLE LATER. THANKS AND VISIT VISUALPETS and i cant say .COM FOR YOUR PETS...
Some thing just doesnt smell right when you cant tell if you are buying a $7000 watch a $7000 truck, a $7000 pet, a $7000 drive train for a Lightning or all of the above.. Its more than just a little confusing. AND to top it off you cant use the forums to sell it -

Doug

Unfortunately I'm not the one that posted this system on E-bay. I however, told him what I thought the value was (this is why I have never sought after a job in sales). I did design the system, and I know what was spent (needless to say why the reserve was so high).

The system still remains available. Drive down and take a look. The headers are Jet-coated and I only wrapped them because I relocated the o2 sensors in the collector and needed the heat at idle. I'll have pictures posted of the system when our I.T. shows up.

I do have accurate data for dyno numbers. You can imagine how %&*#$@! I was when trying to compete with the big number posts on unleaded and then find out people were using good race gas and or nitrous.

When I Built the kit at Paxton it left with 422hp@4500 and 505.5 lb/ft@4000 16psi. When it left Swanson's 454hp@5300 and 513 lb/ft@4000. When it left Diablo at Superior's shop 513.3hp@6200 and 492.4 lb/ft@4200. At last PSP 503.2 hp@6100 and 514.7lb/ft@4100.

Our 3.3L sandcar made almost the same rwhp as our lightning on c-12. Swanson told me that the unleaded gas didn't have enough energy on its own to make the power I was looking for (I think he was right).

All the tuners did excellent jobs! Patrick and Sal are on the other side of the continent for crying out loud. Out of all fairness Sal's run had a blown up cat in one bank and Patrick's run had 90° dumps at the exhaust collector no cats.

Come by and check it out we're at: 9060 Winnetka ave., Northridge, CA 91324. Or E-mail me Nist@dukesinc.com
