How can I find out if the intercooler recall was done on my L? Its a 2000 with 26,000 miles. Ive known about this recall almost since I bought it used allmost 2 years now. I dont know if the previous owner did the recall thing. Ived never put coolant in it, it has never gone down, its been at the same level.

 

My L didnt have the recall done when i bought it 4 months ago. 1999 with 17,000 miles on it. The dealer said there was no recall on it, but thats because the recall ended in sept. of 02. Theydid fix it last Wed. for 20%. I paid $235 out the door, instead of the $1200+. My fluid level was going down alot, like a half inch per week.

Call any SVT ford dealer and provide the service writer with your VIN#. They have the ability to see any warranty work done by any dealership and would be able to tell you.
