Check Engine Light
I've got a problem with the check engine light, just wondering if anyone has anymore ideas on what it could be. Here's the situation:
Yesterday the check engine light came on (the steady light) on a 140 mile trip to Nevada. I drove the car on and off yesterday after making it to the destination and drove back this morning. Figuring it would just go off and it was just a problem with the gas. So I fill up with new gas and drive back today and the light is still on. I changed my fuel filter this morning when I got home and still no luck. The truck feels fine, accelerates with no problems or hesitation but the light is still on and it's getting annoying.
The truck came out from NYC a month ago where I've always put 93 octane or better, however it's run fine out here on the 91 (which is the highest there is) up to yesterday. Is it just bad gas? I've this problem before in a GMC Yukon and it's alwasy just gone away but never before in the lightning. I'd like to do as much as I can before bringing it to a dealer. Thanks for any help.
Jack.

Here are the Ford codes and fixes:

Btw, I'd do a battery disconnect(remove the negative battery cable, turn the headlight's switch on--for 5 minutes, then turn the h/l sw. OFF, and reconnect the cable) and see 'if it cures itself'.
But, to remove any doubts, do what Doug said.
