Wink Leaf Springs???

Question for anybody that has removed a leaf spring to lower their truck. I hear it's a good way to lower it but you lose pay-load. I rarely ever haul things. Is this ok for the truck? Is going with hangers a better choice?

A couple of people I know have had their springs dearched. I don't know if it is better for the pay load versus removing a leaf.

leafs

svt chic, I have removed a leaf from my 02 along with the shackles and belltech springs up front,, no problems with the set- up here! I like the stance and still can throw enough in the bed for my needs. Truck also seems to transfer weight better under hard acceleration. Jon

lowering looks good, but man, i hate bounceing around like a cracked out, crazy, furry, white, bouncy, floppy eared, rabbit everytime i hit a bump. i'm lowered front and back, don't know how much cause the previous owner did it. If i post pics, can someone give an estimate?
