Question Works blower

Alright, this in no a flame against anyone but I am getting a little impatient about the Works 140. No one can seem to give me a clear answer on it's release. I would love to have one of these blowers to go with my built long block but I am not sure if I can wait for it. I know several people here have the works 112 on their trucks. With all due respect the Kenny Bell is a great blower and there are some trucks pushing some very respectable times and hp/tq numbers. I am not sure if I want to purchase a KB as I have always been more interested in the Works. I know there are some people waiting for the 140 to come out. I was wondering if anyone has called Works or talked to any of the tuners that are going to be offering their blowers?? I am leaving for deployement in less than a week for six months. I won't be back til the first week of December so HOPEFULLY the 140 will be out by then. If not I will be going with the KB. Sorry, just had to vent.

The easiest way to answer this is- if you want a bigger blower NOW, buy a KB. If you want what I personally feel is a better setup, then wait for the Works. I spoke to Works tonight, and Chris showed me pics of the NEW 140 kits, which is what is going to see production. The hold up was that he revised the setup to include a bypass that was cast in as part of the intake, instead of rigging up some kind of half assed setup. He also revised several other parts of the set up that make the production kits fit much better than the early Works kits did. He WILL NOT release these kits until he is 100% satisfied with them. The wait may be longer than expected, but the end result should speak for itself.

Is the Wait Worth It

The KB is out there, work great & fits right. If you are a daily driver what is the Works gonna give you over the KB? A tenth that maybe that could be made up with other mods or better traction? And even that hasn't been proven. I guess if you just dont want a KB you'll have to wait.
