It's not a Cobra R water pump, it's just the regular Cobra water pump, the R is to short and won't work on a Lightning. It's been called the wrong thing for long time.

I was on Tim Skeltons website and it should on the Dyno that the Cobra water pump actually uses more horsepower. I guess you have to use the pump if you choose to use the E-Fan. The Flex-lite fan has a lot more space than the JDM. I like both fans but the JDM uses ford parts so if you ever get in a jam it's a no brainer.
