FJO WideBand Questions
FJO WideBand Questions
I'll have a FJO wideband here next week, but have a installation ? about it. On the sensor; where is best or does it matter on mounting it? It would be easiest IMO to replace one of the after cat sensors and plug a MIL box up to keep from setting a Cat Code, but will it work after the Cats correctlly?
This only applies if you have the datalogging feature with RPM pickup...
Put the bung on the pass side if you can. After you hook up the RPM pickup line, the sensor, you will find out, going the pass route allows longer cable access for the pc. I put mine in the driver side and BARELY could get the cables over.
Power
You can then wire it to actually be a mobile unit by using a fuse tap. I pull out the fuse for the trailer tailights and use that to power the unit.

I'll post some pictures in a couple of hours.
Well, I don't have any...
I attached the rpm input to the green/white wire coming from the #1 coil pack. I attached the load wire to the gray/white wire coming from the TPS sensor. I don't have rear O2 sensors so I placed the O2 sensor in one of those places. I mounted the FJO under the driver seat.

I also placed my the box for the fjo under my drivers seat. I welded the bung on the drivers side in front of the factory 02 sensor in my header collector. I haven't used the datalogging feature, but I may hook it up sometime. It's a great unit for the price. It's right on with the higher end units.
I just installed the prebuilt WB from Aus.
Installed the bung on passenger side just before the Cat. Ran cable through existing hole in rocker panel to under carpet.
I may have a calibration problem. I show A/F of around 16 at idle and when at low power cruise. I show 10.5 at WOT with street program.
When decelerating from 5300 rpm reading goes to max lean. If I step on it just enough to put vacuum on boost gage into the black I show A/F of about 13.
