Billet grill on 03?? Install problems...

When sitting the cariage works grill in to drill the holes for mounting it, the two bottom outside tabs that held the stock grill in sit inside the billet grill so when you look at it you can see them on the grill. Are they all like this or what? Anyone have a close up pic of an install or one installed from the front I can take a peek at.

Thanks.

Try flipping the grill upside and backwards. Polished side goes outwards. Its very easy to mount it wrong. You have to have someone hold inside the shell while you look at it. When we did mine, we played with it like 6 different times before deciding which way to mount it.

I also have to grind down the 2 inner upper posts on the grill because they were to tall and causing the top part of the shell to bow outwards.

****, Ditto on having to grind the posts down on the grill. Unfortunately I did not notice this till after the complete install
and when I shut my hood the grill shell touched in the middle. The margin was terrible.I'm lucky it didn't chip the the paint. Talk about being pissed, having to remove everything. I was so mad I
had to quit and finish it the next day.

Blk03, The two tabs your talking about I trimmed them off with
a hack saw blade. I did not want to, but as you have noticed carraige works was out to lunch when instructions were being made. They did turn out fine on the top grill. As I have stated in the past ,the bottom fit is *****TY.
