Had a run in with a stupid motorcyclist and a car door. Need to know how to take the side view mirrors off. Have a 2001 since the wiring is different. Thanks in advance. Pictures help if you have em!

 

I just did it on my Altima and you had to unscrew a panel on the inside and unbolt it from the inside....

 

You have to take off the door panel first. There are two phillip head screws, one behind the door handle plastic piece, and one behind the vertical pillar. You have to pop off each piece, don't be afraid to just pull them off. The screws are behind them, once you take the screws out just lift the door panel up and off. Remove the foam piece by the mirror and there are 3 nuts holding the mirror on.

After you do it once, you can take the door panel off in like 3 seconds. Its very simple
