What Is It Worth

Put in my new JLP shortblock, heads and KB kit. Now I have my old engine complete from the TB in, including the factory exhaust manifolds. The old engine only had 15k on it, ran strong and was babied (oil changes at 2-3k). What would be a fair price to ask for it?

Thanks,

Mark

Internals are stock on the original motor. Right now the new mill is running rich, too rich. Gonna check the chip tonite, maybe pull a plug a take a look. Can tell by the exhaust tips it is definately rich, and craps out at full throttle, though tip in to half throttle feels strong.

Awesome! When you get everything worked out are you going to make it up to the track sometime? I'd love to see that thing run.

New Lightning Crate For 5.7K

Guy on the NLOC board says you can get a new Lightning crate for just under 5.7K, so 3K sounds like a good deal to me. Might have a guy interested up here and said I would figure out a fair price. Input?

I would think 2500/3000 would be a fair price and maybe 2K if buying the motor "as is" w/ no warranty.

What I mean by this, if someone is going to give you 3K for a motor to put in his truck/car, I would think that they would want some sort of guarantee the motor would last 1month/1000 miles without any problems
