Predator programmer

Any news on the Predator programmer and when its supposed to be out? And will these be able to take a performance program and allow fine tuning- how do they work?

They don't have them out for any Ford gas vehicles yet, only diesel. I was told at the Diablo tent at WFC that it'd be a couple of more months before everything got ironed out.....

Has anyone tried getting a spare computer to chip up, and leave the orig. one stock for those special warranty issues?

We Can't do that Blue

Only one computer can be flashed to you Lighting at a time,
You would have to have a way to re-flash a spare before bringing it in, and then you would have to re-flash the original to put it back in afterwards.

The predator will be the answer to this issue.

You modify the computer program through the service port.
It will come with a program set up for your Lightning + Mods just like a Chip. Then you can plug it in and use it to read your timing, A/F, shift points, limiter, ETC and modify it to your liking in minutes.
You are NOT touching the computer terminals where a Chip would go. Then if you have to bring it in, you reset it to the factory specs AND THEY CAN NOT TELL ANYTHING WAS CHANGED or RESET

Even for people like me who are moded past the point of ever using the wrrnty (and already have a chip), it still makes sence. For example instead of being chip-less (like I am right now) and waiting for my Chip to be reburned, you simply make a little adjustment yourself and your good to go. This will be extremly helpful for me at the track and I plan on getting one the second they come out. I haven't been able to go racing for weeks already because I simply need my timing advanced, with the predator I can do that in minutes right at the track, get a new reading, and I'm good to go without ever skipping a beat OR LOOSING WEEKS OF RACING.
