Great night at the track
Great night at the track
Weather finally cleared here in Northeast Ohio yesterday after all the rain we had been blessed with, so to beat the cabin fever that had set it I went to the local tracks Weds. night Street Wars to relieve some tensions.
The weather was perfect, 57 degrees. clear skies, and a nice cool breeze.
First pass off the street on a track where I traditionally run .2 to .3
tenths slower than at other tracks due to it uphill condition in the last 300 feet, was a 12.54 @ 108.97.
I figure this is going to be a good night so I jump right into the Modified ( anything goes here) class. I am one of the slower of the 26 cars and get quite a few looks and snears from some of the 10 and 11 second guys when we report to the lanes.
Well 5 round later as I was taking out the last of those snearing b@$tads, and picking up the winners whopping $100.00 pay-off, they all wanted to come see what this Lightning was all about.
Started with a dial in of 12.50 on the first round, and ended with at dial in of 12.74, so .24 drop in performance is not too bad.
Even have a great pic and write up in the tracks website this morning.
Chalk up another win for us "L" owners.
