DEQ ruined my program?

took it in to DEQ to get tags and didn't remove my chip or mod's. I wanted to see if it would pass, well it passed no problem. I was surprised at how quick they tested it. Then I found out they plugged into the service port under the dash and ???? did they somehow cancel or modify my program? it runs like ****, rings the valves at full throttle and isn't as strong as before. I thought I got some bad gas at first but 2 tanks later I removed the chip and other bolt-ons and it seems to run fine now . my opinion is they changed the timing and air-fuel but the torque red. and shift points stayed the same. Whaddya think. btw first time to the strip, ( or racing ever) I ran a 13.73 with a horrible launch @.997 LOL and ringing the valves at the end of each gear( I even backed outta the throttle when it started) but at 5002 lbs that was ok w/ me.

I d/k how they could affect your chip by running an emission's test.......? Btw, if, by :ringing the valves" you mean you are hearing pinging, then your L may be living on borrowed time. Your chip tune needs to be reevaluated.

And, your reaction time(.997) has nothing to do with the launch. (I know I sound like I'm shouting at you but i don't mean to.) The launch(usually meaning spinning or not and most consider it ending at the 60' mark) starts after your reaction time has elapsed.

I have had my L through DEQ with all mods in place and no ill affects. Try clearing the computer (disconnect the neg bat term and tren drain the residual voltage). If you are detonating that bad you are doing serious damage to your pistons, valves, heads, rods, etc.
